Hospitable Direct Website Examples to Learn From
Four live Hospitable Direct sites, and how to tell the owner's choices from the template's.
Last verified on 13 Oct 2026 against official docs.
Four live Hospitable Direct sites worth studying are Waikoloa Dreamy Escape, Basecamp 3105, Real Estate One and 1885 Farms, all hosted on hospitable.rentals. They share one template system, so the differences you see come mostly from the owner's choices: headline, property description, which properties are listed, and photos. Hospitable says colors and styling come from the template and can't be edited manually, while your logo, site title and subtitle, hero images or video, property order and footer links are yours to set. Below are the four sites, what each owner has done with those settings, and what you can copy.

What you control vs what the template controls
| You control | Source |
|---|---|
| Logo, site title and subtitle, hero section (title, subtitle, images or one video), footer and social links | Customize your site |
| Which properties appear and in what order (alphabetical by default) | Property pages |
| Property title, description, photos, amenities and house rules (edited under Properties, not in the site editor) | Property pages |
| Which photos appear on Direct, plus a Direct-specific cover photo | Managing photos |
| Hospitable or the template controls | Source |
|---|---|
| Colors and styling (to change them, choose a different template) | Customize your site |
| Property page structure, booking flow and how reviews are displayed | Property pages |
| Image layout and some automatic cropping; large images are optimized automatically | Managing images |
Your name.hospitable.rentals subdomain, which can't be changed once created | Publishing |
You'll find the site editor under Direct Bookings → Websites → your site → Overview (customization article). Hospitable doesn't publish template names, so we don't name any here.
How we found and checked these sites
Hospitable has no official gallery of example sites in its Direct Booking help collection (help collection). We found these sites through web search. Each one is served on the Hospitable-hosted *.hospitable.rentals subdomain, which the publishing article describes. We loaded each homepage on October 13, 2026. Everything noted below is quoted or summarized from the text on that page.
The examples
1. Waikoloa Dreamy Escape (single property, Waikoloa Village, HI) The page title lists the selling points: "Walk to Beach, Shops, Dining | Family & Beach gear." Directly under the property name, the page says "Book direct to save up to 15%," which gives guests a clear reason to skip the OTA. The description has a family-focused list ("No stairs or elevators," beach gear and baby gear provided), followed by a room-by-room sleeping section. Because it's a single-property site, guests land straight on the property page, which is how Hospitable says single-property sites behave (Property pages).
2. Basecamp 3105 (single property, Sooke, BC) The headline is "Your Private West Coast Basecamp," and the description explains an unusual setup in plain words: a group glamping site on a hobby farm, four furnished tents sleeping up to 8, booked by one group at a time. The house rules (quiet hours, no pets, designated smoking area) appear on the page before booking.
Direct Booking Academy's publisher also operates BNB Boost.
Photos carry most of these pages. If yours need attention, BNB Boost works on vacation rental photo presentation.3. Real Estate One (multi-property, Colorado and California) The homepage states the direct-booking benefit right away ("Save all those annoying booking fees and book your vacation directly with us!") and tells guests what to do next ("send a request to book"). Each property card shows the city, guests, bedrooms and bathrooms (for example Silverthorne, Denver and Golden, CO, and San Diego, CA).
4. 1885 Farms (multi-property, Ohio) The homepage lists properties in Navarre, North Lawrence and Canton, OH, including "Grace and Grandeur-The Stables Estate," and shows guest reviews, one of which mentions hosting a wedding at the property. The browser title is still the default "Home | 1885.hospitable.rentals." A site title would describe the business better in browser tabs and search results.
Patterns worth borrowing
- Give guests a reason to book direct, as Waikoloa Dreamy Escape and Real Estate One do in their opening lines. Only state savings that are actually true for your listing.
- Explain anything unusual early. Basecamp 3105 says "one group at a time" before guests start looking at dates.
- Set your site title. You can edit it in the branding section of the site editor (Customize your site).
- Order your properties deliberately on multi-property sites instead of leaving them in alphabetical order (same source).
- Check that every photo is assigned to Direct, and pick a Direct cover photo on purpose (Managing photos). Use high-resolution landscape hero images with no text or watermarks (Managing images). Full walkthrough: Hospitable photos: upload, replace and reorder.
