To set up a Lodgify website, first choose a plan that includes the website builder (Starter or higher). Add your rentals with photos, rates and policies. Pick a template under Website Builder → Styles and add your logo and colors. Fill in your pages and the SEO settings for each. Connect a payment gateway, then register or link a domain under Website builder → Settings → Domain and publish. After launch, verify the site in Google Search Console, connect GA4, and list on Google Vacation Rentals if your plan includes it. The steps below use Lodgify's current help center.

This guide is part of our Lodgify Academy, an independent collection of guides (not an official Lodgify resource).

Step 0: Pick a plan that includes a website (as of Oct 2026)

According to Lodgify's pricing page (USD, one property, yearly billing): Basic ($14/month) has no website builder. Starter ($26/month) adds the website builder and booking widget. Professional ($47/month) adds the Google Vacation Rentals listing. Ultimate is $68/month. Every plan has a 0% booking fee, yearly plans include a free domain, and there's a 7-day free trial (Lodgify pricing). Prices change with property count, currency and billing period, so check the page before you sign up.

Step 1: Add your rental details

Your website pulls content from your rentals, so finish them first: name, description, photos, rates, availability and policies. Lodgify's own Top 12 website checklist is a useful companion to this step.

Step 2: Choose a template and set your branding

Go to Website Builder → Styles to choose a template, add your logo, and set custom colors and fonts (Getting started: Website). Lodgify recommends a .png logo at least 60 px tall, ideally in a 2:1 ratio (Picture guide). For inspiration, see our Lodgify website examples.

Then fill in Website Builder → Settings → Contact & Social (same getting-started article).

Step 3: Upload photos and the hero image

  • Rental photos: go to Rentals → [rental] → Photos and click Add Photos, or drag files in. Drag photos to reorder them. Recommended size is 1920×1280 px.
  • Homepage hero: go to Website builder → Pages and click the hero image to upload. Upload several images for a slideshow. Recommended: .jpg at 21:9 (for example 2560×1080).

(Both from the Picture guide.) Captions on rental photos become their alt text (SEO article). Full details are in the Lodgify photo guide.

Direct Booking Academy's publisher also operates BNB Boost.

If your photos need work before launch, BNB Boost works on vacation rental photo presentation.

Step 4: Build pages and add SEO settings

Add content to your pages; Lodgify notes that more content tends to bring more traffic. For each page, go to Website builder → Pages, hover over the page, then click ⋯ → Page settings → SEO and enter the SEO page title and description. Use one H1 per page (SEO article). The complete list is in the Lodgify SEO checklist.

Step 5: Connect payments

Lodgify's card gateways are Lodgify Payments, Stripe, Braintree, Authorize.Net and Payyo (on request), plus PayPal. Manual payment methods are only available on Professional and Ultimate (Forms of payment).

  • Free domain (yearly or bi-yearly plans): go to Website builder → Settings → Domain → Get a free domain, click Register, then ⋯ → Set as main domain. Check the spelling, because you can't change it later. Registration can take up to 48 hours (Register a new domain).
  • Domain you already own: link it instead (for example from GoDaddy or Namecheap) (Getting started).

Lodgify redirects www to non-www (Product updates, May 2025).

Step 7: Publish and test

Lodgify says you publish to go live, and it handles hosting and security (Website builder). Before you share the link, do a test on your phone: choose dates, check that the full price is shown, and go through checkout up to the payment step.

Step 8: After launch

  1. Search Console: add a URL-prefix property, then paste the HTML tag into Website builder → Settings → Advanced → Header-Custom HTML. Save, publish, and click Verify. This method is required if you bought your domain through Lodgify (Search Console article).
  2. Sitemap: submit sitemap.xml in Search Console. Lodgify resubmits it every 24 hours (Sitemap article).
  3. GA4: go to Tools → Marketplace → Google Analytics, paste your G- ID, then save and publish (GA blog).
  4. Google Vacation Rentals (Professional or Ultimate): go to Channel Manager → Google card → List. You'll need 8+ captioned photos of at least 720×720 px and a logo, and your site must be published (GVR article).

Already have a website?

You can embed Lodgify's booking box or search box instead. Getting started: Website documents Website Builder → Settings → External widgets, and Use the Lodgify reservation system on an external website documents Website builder → External Widgets. Generate the code and paste it into your site.
